I have lived in Estero just for a couple of years. I have come up on the tree accidently driving on Sandy Lane and never bothered to stop as I did not want to disturb the owners and their privacy. Will get down from the car next time, admire the tree and take some pictures. By the way, I am from India and my deceased uncle lived in Mysore; his family is still living there so I have been to Mysore many times.

Greeting from chilly RI!! Although I heard the weather in Estero hasn't been much better lately! Sorry to hear about tree losing all the figs as last time we were there we bought many varieties of your jellies. All were very good, and left one at my house in Estero for my next visit which will be first week in Feb/2010. Great site and keep up the good work, will come by to say hello in Feb!!! Nice web site and nice ficus tree, used to be from West Palm Beach, FL so I know the strength of the ficus tree. You just have to be careful it doesn't hit your septic system.
