Just bought home in Estero and heard about the giant fig tree. Have not been by to view it yet, but very curious and will next time I am in town. I currently live in RI. I am growing a few varieties of fig trees in the north east for the first time this year, so far they are doing great! Hope to talk to you in November! Pat

I propose that all of us local and snowbird tree huggers donate a weekend morning to bag leaves when they fall the heaviest. Post the date and I'll come help. You should get a heavy duty donation box too. I think it would generate some funds to hire some help.

You have done a great job representing this great tree. I have a story for all to know. This tree means a lot to me as it taught me to learn the ins and outs of everything before jumping in and trying it myself. I was taught how to climb up it, but not out. Then, fell out when trying to climb out without being caught as I was playing hide and seek with my sister and uncle.

I see you out there every day taking care of that tree! How admirable and important your job is! I also see you outside with the MANY MANY visitors, educating them. A few of us at the post office have been making a point to keep an eye out for those eagles! I have not seen one yet, but I am hopeful! It is a great thing that you are doing! Keep it up!

Love this website. I am so glad you have set this up. I take all our visitors by this amazing sight and take their pictures. Fortunately, I live down the street and can pass it every day. I just love it. Keep up the good work!
